you seem dangerous.

Two big pieces of news:

Number 1:
I’m training to be a projectionist at the Movie Machine. I trained for a few hours on Sunday, and I’m going in today to wrap that up. Seriously, the next time you go see a movie, thank the person up above (the projectionist? or God?) that the movie actually works. I’m astonished that the film goes through a dozen or so pulleys, from enormous platters of film, through a twisty maze, into the projector (where things must be just right or the film is ruined or just does not look right at all), and then back through the maze onto a separate platter. I’ll try to take photos for you.

Number 2:
Someone from FHSU called today, about an email I sent regarding a student photographer position for the university. This would be much bigger than working as staff photographer for the paper and yearbook, and it would earn quite a bit more money. I’ll keep doing the paper, because it’s great experience, but I really hope I can score this job. I should be getting a package of applications in the mail soon…

I’m sorry I haven’t been updating as regularly. Work has been taking up time, and I just haven’t had much to say. Don’t fret, for I’ve still been making time for fun.

You know what the best way to tell a person’s gender is? Looking for an Adam’s Apple.

And to Christy: You seem dangerous.
Is that Adam being mean? I’ll spank him for you.

Speaking of dangerous, this guy finds a good use for his enormous SUV… running over other cars.

And I leave you with another album of photos….

  1. Even while sitting at home after work, I can still feel my hands threading film… how very strange.

  2. Brian Brian

Wait until you see a “brainwrap.” I used to work at a theatre and they are not pretty.

Oh and was the email from Mitch Weber? I gave him your name before I left school.

  3. Yeah, we had a brainwrap yesterday. Not fun at all.

And I didn’t receive an email from Mitch, but I did get an application mailed to me. So I will be returning that today.
