the end of Summer 2003.

I forgot to mention how awful “Uptown Girls” was. I went to the sneak Thursday night, and it was definitely the worst movie of the summer. I’d like to say that it was just a bad editing job, having been edited so poorly that any semblance of plot had been destroyed. But I honestly think that it just plain sucked. There was NEVER a point that made it worthwhile. Stay away from that flaming pile of crap.

Today is my last day of work. During the sneak the other day, I sat there and thought of how good my summer job turned out. It may have paid next to nothing, but it was easy and fun. Being a projectionist was an incredible learning experience. And as a bonus, I got to see a dozen movies that I never would have otherwise.

I’ve been packing for my move back to Hays on Monday. I have strong mixed feelings about it; sad that I will be leaving my Wichita friends and job, glad to be independent once again. I’ll even miss the city life. Only one more year of school after this year, so I guess I can stand it for a bit longer.

Here’s the plan for the next few days:
Saturday morning and afternoon = pack my entire life for the move back
Saturday evening = last day of work at the Movie Machine
Sunday morning = go to Mass, then head to Manhattan to move my sister into K-State
Sunday night = return to Wichita, tired
Monday morning = wake early, eye doctor appointment, move myself back to FHSU

That’s the scoop. I hereby declare summer officially over. At least I didn’t waste it.

Have you seen Gigli yet? Because Uptown Girls could NOT have been as bad as Gigli.

  2. YOU’RE WELCOME

  3. Well, The Wichita Eagle had a review in it saying that it was even worse than Gigli. I haven’t seen that one yet, and probably never will. And Jerod, thanks for being an ass. It made the summer more fun.
